This area is also one of the premier whale watching locations on Kauai, and seeing their spouts is an almost daily occurrence during the winter months. Dolphins and turtles are also regular visitors to this coastline and even the extremely rare Hawaiian monk seal has been spotted playing in the water directly in front of Hale Kepuhi. Within a 10 minute walk from Hale Kepuhi is a great Mediterranean Restaurant, an ocean-front day spa, yoga studio and little coffee shop with Wi-Fi.
